Cookie Policy

This site uses one cookie, and only one. This page explains what it is, what it does, and how to disable it if you would rather it not be set.

The cookie we set

NamePurposeDurationType
cb_dismissed Remembers that you have dismissed the cookie-notice bar at the bottom of pages, so it does not reappear on every visit. 12 months First-party, functional

The cookie contains a single value (1) once you have dismissed the notice. It contains no identifier and cannot be used to recognise you across sessions in any meaningful sense — it only tells our own site that the notice has been dismissed.

Cookies we do not set

Third-party requests

Our pages load one third-party resource: the Google Fonts service, which serves the two typefaces used across the site (Fraunces and Inter). Google may log the fact of the font request, in the same way that a plain HTTP fetch is logged. This is standard for sites using Google Fonts. If you would prefer to avoid this, you can install a browser extension that blocks third-party font requests, or use a browser (such as Firefox with strict tracking protection) that isolates such requests.

How to disable or delete cookies

All modern browsers let you view and delete cookies:

You can also block cookies from this domain specifically, or clear them without visiting the settings menu by holding Shift while reloading in most browsers.

If you disable our cookie

The cookie notice will reappear on every page load. Everything else on the site will function normally — the cookie exists only to suppress the notice.

Legal basis

Because our sole cookie is strictly functional (it remembers a user preference and stores no identifier or tracking data), UK PECR does not require explicit consent for it. We display the notice anyway as a matter of transparency.

Changes to this policy

If we ever introduce additional cookies, this page will be updated in advance, and the cookie notice will be revised to reflect the new position. As of the review date above, the position is one cookie only, as described.

Questions

If any of this is unclear, or if you would like the site to operate without any cookies at all for your session, please email [email protected].
